Top Ten Reasons Why Target Should Hire Me!

Welcome to my personal blog (usually about viral marketing but this occasion calls for a special post)! This should be a convincing list on why Target and I would be a perfect fit:

# 10.

LOVE

9.
I am young, full of enthusiasm and new ideas, and I need a career that will give me an outlet for that; Target radiates energy, Target encourages sharing new ideas, and Target gives respect and responsibility to students entering the business world.

8.
I need a career that will challenge me everyday; Reba states that in her 15 years working at Target, not a day has gone by that she hasn't been challenged or learned something new.

7.
I won't stop bugging you Target recruiters until I at least get an interview to prove all these claims I am listing =)

6.
Environmental pollution and destruction gives me anxiety; Target has deferred 34,000,000 plastic bags from landfills since they launched their reusable-bag program. Now that's a company I would be proud to work for.

5.
I want to be able to help people through my job; Target supports their local communities by donating 5% of their income...THAT'S $3 MILLION A WEEK!

4.
I love numbers. (Yes, I obsessively monitor and analyze this blog on Google Analytics). Isn't that a great quality to possess to be hired as a Business Analyst?!?!

3.
Target's company culture embodies what I value; contagious energy, empowerment to innovate, create, and find solutions, and emphasized individualistic strengths within a team environment.

2.
It's a fresh new day and you possess the influence to give someone (ME) the opportunity of their (MY) lifetime; to share with another person the incredible opportunities and experiences at Target.

#1 Reason why Target should hire Courtney Stinson:
You are impressed with all other 9 reasons and I have already
convinced you to share my resume with other decision makers and to CALL ME! Refer to resume to obtain my number (I don't want to publicly post my number or else everyone would be calling me!)

Your attention to detail and creativity is astounding, which is what makes you absolutely perfect for this job at Target! You have such an exuberant personality, and any company should jump at the opportunity to have you as a part of their team. Target should be honored to hire you, Courtney. You have so much to offer, and it would be silly not to!

  3. Target folks,
Courtney would be a great addition to Target's marketing team. Best reason? Look the creative way she got your attention? She didn't rely on a standard resume and hope it didn't get lost in the pile. She was proactive. This drive to succeed and create will undoubtedly transfer into Courtney's career, hopefully at Target Corporation.
Best of luck, Courtney. You deserve it!

  4. Courtney, I have known you for a very long time. We have grown up together and I have seen you blossom into such an ambitious, strong-willed, and creative young woman. In fact, although we are of equal age, I have often looked up to you as a role model in many aspects of my life.

Target should consider you as a potential employee because you possess so many great qualities which make you well-rounded. One strong quality you possess is always putting your best effort forward. When you are assigned a task, not only do you complete the requirements, but you above and beyond to exceed expectations and 'wow' anyone who may be critiquing your work. Not only are you intrinsically motivated to achieve your goals and assignments others have set for you, but you are a wonderful friend. Your loyalty to friendships and family is a quality which crosses over into your professional life because you always dedicate your best effort into your work.

Your persistence pays of when it matters. You are detail-oriented and very practical when approaching problems. Your analytic mind always evaluates several options to choose the best solution to a problem. You don't jump the gun and make hasty decisions in order to complete a job. Rather, you carefully consider each possibility, choose what's best for everybody involved, and and carry out your decision in a timely fashion. This being said, you don't always choose the conventional or predictable option, because you are creative and always find new ways to implement innovate working solutions. Your energy and determination always lead to a great end result, which never goes unnoticed.

Your selfless demeanor is obvious to anybody who has the opportunity to talk with you. From the moment you start a conversation, you are courteous, and interested in what the other has to say. You make the decision to contribute to other peoples' lives because you believe it is the right thing to do. Whether a person has witnessed you in action while you were smiling on the way to class, volunteering your time to remove trash on the side of the highway, or patiently working as a tutor and mentor to student athletes at UNI, your warmth has undeniably radiated in their direction and improved their day. With your positive and selfless attitude, it is impossible not to enjoy working with you in a group setting because you are a great listener, and your innovative mind always has great ideas to offer.

You never fail to impress me on your latest of several achievements. I'm so proud of you and I know you have many great things in store for you (because I know with your diligence and perseverance, you won't stop trying until you reach your goals)!

  6. I have been given the pleasure of getting to know Courtney through our involvement with UNI's Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) as well as various marketing classes we have taken throughout our years at UNI. As I became closer with Courtney it quickly became apparent to me that she possesses a certain gift that not a lot of people are fortunate to acquire. Her strong sense of work ethic has given her the chance to excel not only in her school work but also her extra-curricular activities. Target would greatly benefit by giving Courtney that chance to show just how much she can offer them. Courtney is an energetic leader that is able to achieve great success in all of her endeavors and Target should welcome the chance at hiring her!

  7. Dear Target,

I can't think of a better addition to your team than Courtney. She is one of the most thoughtful, hard-working and dedicated individuals I have had the pleasure of calling my friend. I have every reason to believe that her loyalty and positive spirit only bring about great things. Her personality is infectious; I can't ever remember her not being able to make me smile. If you're looking for someone who is both intelligent and innovative, Courtney is the grad for you. Seriously, she is the whole package!
